G6PD Deficiencies:
G6PD deficiency is an inherited condition which usually affects males; HOWEVER, Dr. Bethea has many female patients, who have tested positive. The body doesn't have enough of the enzyme called G6PD (glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase). This enzyme helps red blood cells (RBCs) work properly. A lack of this enzyme causes hemolytic anemia. RBCs get literally broken apart (CHEWED UP) by ozone gas. In the literature, some patients have required blood transfusions after undergoing ozone therapy when the providers didn’t document G6PD deficiency. WE MUST HAVE THIS DOCUMENTATION BEFORE ANY PATIENT CAN PROCEED.
What are the symptoms of G6PD deficiency?
dark-coloured urine.
very pale skin.
yellow skin, eyes or tongue.
breathlessness (weakness with any movement)
an enlarged spleen.

Blood Thinners Anti-coagulants
Are you taking medications like Coumadin, Lovenox, Heparin, Xarelto, Brilinta, Effient, Eliquis, Plavix, etc.? Let us know since we use heparin to keep your blood from clotting in the tubing. You won’t be a candidate for EBOO, but can do HDO3UV and standard therapy sessions.
DO YOU HAVE AN ALLERGY TO HEPARIN?
Please let us know. We’ll use a different medication with you called ACDA (Anticoagulant Citrate Dextrose Solution, Solution A), to KEEP your blood from clotting in the tubing. Clotting in the tubing defeats the purpose of your O3UV therapy! ACDA is used with standard and HDO3UV. ACD-A is not used at this time with EBOO; therefore, you would not be able to undergo EBOO therapy.

HYDRATION:
Please make sure that you are HYDRATED in the 24-48 hours prior to your therapy.
Do not try to consume lots of water within a few hours of the EBOO procedure. We don’t want you (nearly) urinating on yourself in the recliner……like someone we know well. Hmmm. You will be hooked up to the O3UV equipment which will NOT see the inside of the office bathroom!! Make sure your bladder is emptied well before undergoing therapy- SPECIFICALLY EBOO. You CANNOT resume your O3UV procedures, especially the EBOO procedure, after it has started. NO REFUNDS!!
FOOD:
PLEASE EAT A SOLID HEALTHY MEAL BEFORE YOU COME to each and every one of your O3UV sessions. This will help to minimize unnecessary nausea +/- vomiting, requiring Zofran.
HERXHEIMER REACTION
What happens with a Herxheimer reaction?
Not everyone experiences this. Usually those with “more toxic body load” have more probability of experiencing a Herx reaction.
Herxheimer or Herx Reactions are short-term detoxification reactions in the body. As your body detoxifies, it is not uncommon to experience flu-like symptoms including headaches, joint and muscle pain, body aches, sore throat, general malaise, sweating, chills, nausea, or other symptoms as the abnormal particles come out of your blood and are removed from your body.
There are several methods of administering O3 therapy.
1. O3 can be used alone through insufflation. O3 is placed in the ears, joints, nose, rectum, or vagina to target infection, pain, and other inflammatory conditions. This is done at home after IV O3 therapy. Insufflation builds on the IV O3 route.
2. Minor Autohemotherapy (mAH): Minimal blood is drawn, mixed with O3, and injected into the patient’s buttocks. This is beneficial for some skin disorders, as well as chronic respiratory conditions, like allergies. Not as common as major autohemotherapy.
3. Major Autohemotherapy (MAH): 60-2000ml of blood is drawn, O3 is added to the bag of your blood and saline. This mixture is intravenously re-injected back into the patient’s vein. MAH can be beneficial for inflammatory and painful conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, gout, and even reducing size of abnormal soft tissues.
4. Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation (UBI): Combines O3 in MAH with UV light exposure to enhance the immune-modulating and pathogen-eradicating effects. Bacteria, cancer, fungus, nor viruses are comfortable in moderate to intense UV light environments.
O3UV Process
The O3UV standard therapy is not commonly preferred anymore. It involves manually obtaining 60-240ml of your blood, injecting your blood into a bag of saline, adding the respective dose O3 to your blood and saline, passing O3 infused blood and saline through the UV light quartz cuvette, and re-introducing your super oxygenated blood back into your body. Strength is 40-70,000mcg. Standard low dose therapy is done for patients who might have had difficulty with other routes of O3UV therapy, or started with standard low, received benefit, and thus want to stay there.
This therapy takes ~22 minutes (60-240ml of your blood is manually removed.). Ratio of blood to ozone is 1:4. Expect to be in the office about 45 minutes. Total length of time in the office depends on the ease of obtaining your blood.
HIGH DOSE O3UV (HD03UV) takes about 45 minutes. 300ml of your blood is obtained via a PUMP device). Strength of ozone is 70-87,500mcg. Expect to be at the office for ~ 60 minutes. Total length of time in the office depends on the ease of obtaining your blood. Depending on the health of the patient, full efficacy can be achieved within 5 to 10 O3UV therapy sessions.
PLEASE NOTE that those whose bodies are under attack by multiple acute and/or chronic pathogens will need more than 10 (ten) HDO3UV therapy sessions. If you have 2 good veins, then you are appropriate to move up to EBOO (EXTRACORPOREAL BLOOD OXYGENATION AND OZONATION)

Dr. Bethea, The Medical Mechanic, was our 1st GSO Rejuvenation patient who successfully underwent the RED CADILLAC with EDGE 12/8/25. The Medical Mechanic, Dr. Bethea, plans to undergo the BLUE CADILLAC at least ONCE MONTHLY for her overall wellness.
2 LITERS of your blood is super oxygenated and ozonated through this EBOO process. 2 liters of blood is also irradiated with our UV light system. Strength of ozone is 150,000mcg. You must have a good vein in BOTH ARMS for this “RED and BLUE Cadillac” therapy!!
Think of traditional dialysis set up. 2 liters of blood comes out one vein BUT RETURNS to your body via another vein on the opposite side of your body.
EBOO helps optimize the BODY’S ABILITY to clear out abnormal fluid and particles in the bloodstream. EBOO does NOT damage normal substances in the blood.
Contents from the EBOO procedure are collected in a special “collection chamber.”
What is witnessed in this COLLECTION CHAMBER varies from patient to patient. It can also vary from session to session in the SAME patient. Zero fluid or foam observed in the Collection chamber, doesn’t mean that nothing positive occurred in your blood DURING your EBOO sessions.

FSA, HSA, and Care Credit can be used for your health investment. Health investment can be done by single EBOO sessions, or via bundles of 5 EBOO sessions.
Those looking to undergo EBOO for overall wellness, then the frequency of EBOO sessions is usually 1/month, though EBOO can be performed more often.
For those experiencing acute health attacks, 3-4 sessions of EBOO are usually needed. You must have a minimum of 48 hours between EBOO sessions. Usual is 1-2/month for pathology resolution.
For those experiencing more severe chronic health attacks, more than 5 EBOO sessions will be needed. This depends on the respective pathology. You must have a minimum of 48 hours between EBOO sessions. 1/week is most common for pathology reduction.
